Hi, I’m Jerri — watercolor artist, teacher, and creative encourager.

For more than 30 years, I’ve worked as a professional writer and content creator. Words have always been my craft, but somewhere along the way, watercolor stole my heart.

What started as a way to recharge my creativity and reclaim a part of myself turned into a passion for creating art that inspires and for helping others discover that anyone can paint.

Now, I split my days between:

• Creating original watercolor pieces inspired by the Gulf Coast and beyond.

• Designing creative products and resources for artists.

• Teaching beginner-friendly watercolor classes that take the fear out of picking up a brush.

  Art should feel inviting, not intimidating. Whether you’re picking up a brush for the first time or the hundredth, I aim to make the process clear, fun, and pressure-free.

  Much of my work is influenced by the Gulf Coast’s colors, textures, and stories. I believe art should reflect the beauty and uniqueness of the places that shape us.

• Joy Over Perfection
  Perfect paintings are overrated — what matters is the joy you feel while making them. Every brushstroke is part of your creative story, and that’s worth celebrating.

• A Helping Hand
  I’m here to answer questions, share resources, and help you grow as an artist, whether through classes, tutorials, or friendly advice. While I can’t do everything for everyone, I’ll always do my best to point you in the right direction.
